CAPITALISM IS TURNING OUR OCEANS INTO SODA POP

Estimated change in sea surface pH from the pr...Image via Wikipedia

It is a bit of an exaggeration to say that the oceans are as acidic as soda pop, but the acidification of the oceans is something that is well known. It is the result of increased carbon dioxide which is at its highest level since human existence. The carbon dioxide is making the ocean more acidic by creating an acid form of the carbon dioxide.

At some point we should see die offs due to acidity. It will be cataclysmic in nature. The acidity will increase past the point of certain species ability to survive in a more acidic ocean. I wonder which species are most vulnerable.

A responsible humanity would set goals for reducing sea acidity. So far capitalism shows no, absolutely no real effort to address this problem, only a fanatical determination to make a profit despite the problem.
